What this build is: a static demonstration of an automotive catalogue and editorial desk, and an honest account of how its sample data works.
What this site is
MotoSutra is a demonstration build of an automotive research site: a vehicle catalogue with spec sheets and price lists, an editorial layer of news, reviews, comparisons and guides, and tools — search and a comparison builder — arranged around them. It is a static site generated with Astro and served as plain HTML files. There is no company, newsroom or operating team behind it; the structure, tone and layout are the point of the exercise, not a real publication.
The build is organised into these areas:
- Cars — The car catalogue with segment and budget indexes.
- Bikes — Motorcycles, from commuter to superbike.
- Scooters — The scooter catalogue, petrol and electric.
- Electric — Every EV in the catalogue in one place.
- Brands — Marque pages listing what we carry for each.
- News — The news desk index for this sample content.
- Reviews — Scored reviews — sample write-ups, not road tests.
- Comparisons — Spec-by-spec head-to-heads.
- Guides — Buying guides and explainers.
- Search — Finds every model, story and guide in the build.
How the data works
Prices, specifications and bylines in this build are illustrative sample data for a demonstration site.
Concretely, that means: the catalogue of models, variants, prices and specifications is illustrative sample data entered to exercise the pages, not verified OEM data. Scores, verdicts and star ratings in reviews and comparisons are part of that sample. Author bylines and the author pages are demo personas, not working journalists. No vehicle listed here was tested, and nothing on this site should be used to make a purchase decision.
How it is built
Every page is rendered at build time and shipped as a static file — no accounts, no serverside storage, no database. The privacy notice describes exactly what happens when you visit, and the terms of use set out how the sample data should be read. Recent stories are also published as an RSS feed.
