Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a specialized EV division of Tata Motors launched the Nexon EV MAX today in India, on May 11. The Tata Nexon EV MAX is the new top variant of the existing Tata Nexon EV. That is the best-selling EV in India. The range is extended to 125 km in the new Tata Nexon EV MAX. Nexon EV MAX\’s total range is 437 km.
The new Tata Nexon EV MAX SUV will get some extra features to keep up with the competition like MG Astor and others. The long-range Nexon EV will get the bigger battery pack in a new 40 kWh battery pack, which will be 30% larger than the current model\’s 30.2kWh pack.

The Tata Nexon EV MAX is priced above the top-spec variant of the Tata Nexon EV. For the base variant, the Tata Nexon EV MAX long-range starts at Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

The central tunnel of the Tata Nexon EV MAX with EPB and wireless charger– With Nexon EV MAX, Tata Motors has introduced a Multi-Mode Regen feature. Which will help customers to adjust the level of regenerative braking through the switch. Customers can choose from 4 regen levels based on the driving conditions:
- Level 0 with nil recuperative braking,
- The highest regen Level 3 aiding for single-pedal driving
Tata has also added an intuitive feature Auto brake lamps. It gets activated once a certain level of regeneration is reached to help fellow motorists. Talking about the charging experience, the Nexon EV Max will be available with two options to choose from a 3.3 kW charger or a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. The 7.2 kW AC fast charger could be installed either at your home or at the workplace. That helps in reducing charging time to 6.5 hrs 0 to 100 percent.
Making it an irresistible proposition, the Nexon EV MAX now supports a faster charging time of 0–80% in 56 mins from any 50 kW DC fast charger.
