Kawasaki Z650RS Overview

Kawasaki Motors India has launched the 2022 Z650RS priced at Rs. 6.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS arrives in the country just weeks after its worldwide debut. The retro-styled motorcycle is being offered in 2 color options – Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Gray.

The brand-new 650 CC Kawasaki is based on the Kawasaki Z650 naked motorbike but gets a retro-style language on the very same lines as the Kawasaki Z900 Rs. The bike arrives at a delectable price that makes it more affordable than the Triumph Trident 660.

Kawasaki Z650RS Feature Highlights:

  • Modern-retro styling,
  • Dual-dial instrument cluster with multi-function LCD,
  • Full-LED lighting,
  • Spoke-style cast wheels,
  • The relaxed riding position,
  • Lightweight trellis frame.

The brand-new Z650RS takes its ideas from the iconic Kawasaki Z1. The neo-retro style theme brings a round LED headlamp, new multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a twin-pod analog instrument console with a digital readout. The slim pinstripe fuel container additionally bolsters the retro styling, while the single long seat ought to maintain things comfortable for the rider and pillion.

Kawasaki Z650RS Engine Specs

The engine is pretty much the same as the 649cc parallel-twin, as you\’ll find in the Z650, Ninja 650 sports bike, and Versus 650 adventure tourer. Now it is a solid, reliable performer with a peak power is 67 horsepower, which is a little less than the competition. And it also uses a 180-degree crank which gives it an exhaust note that, for me, isn\’t as pleasing to the ear as a 270 crank as you\’ll find in many other retros.

Power on the new Kawasaki Z650RS comes from the familiar 649 cc twin-cylinder motor seen on the Z650. Power figures are identical with 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm at 6,700 RPM. The trellis frame remains the same, as well as so does the suspension set up with 41 mm telescopic front forks and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking performance comes from 300 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

Kerb Weight 192 kg, the Z650RS has a wheelbase of 1,405 mm. The motorcycle is 2,065 mm long, 800 mm large, and 1,115 mm tall. It has a gas tank capacity of 12 litres.
