Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Specs
The 1043 cc inline-four with a BS6-compliant engine means it puts out lesser pollution and is more environmentally friendly.
Then you have 142 horsepower that satiates your appetite for speed on any given day. Add to this 111-newton meters of torque with incredible acceleration and superb pick-up right from the word go.
And, you have a sport-tourer that feels like it is propelled by rocket thrusters. That sends you flying through the straits at the rate of knots.

Now come to the goodies quick shifter with auto Blippar. Which means clutchless upshifts as well as downshifts. That provides for an absolute fatigue-free riding experience.
Cruise control to sit back and relax as you enjoy the morning breeze while cruising through the highways.
Then you have the mighty side-mounted single-sided muffler. I prefer the dual twin-port exhausts we got on both sides of the BS4 model. Which made the bike look more badass and muscular. But this new single-sided exhaust does make the bike 2 kg lighter.
We also get new LED turn indicators. So all the lights now are LED, and the front headlamps look futuristic and stunning.

TFT Instrumental Cluster
The main highlight is the full-color 4.3-inch TFT console that comes packed with features beyond imagination.
Now, we do get 4-different riding modes that are all linked to the 6-axis IMU or the inertial measurement unit. That controls the lean-angle sensitive abs as well as the traction control settings.
You do get a ride by wire throttle and slipper clutch. Watch your back while doing faster downshifts. And an assisted clutch for less slip, under harder acceleration.
Now, this new design gets only three clutch springs as opposed to six on the previous-gen Ninja 1000, which also results in a lighter clutch pull.
SUSPENSION
Now performing suspension duties are 41mm inverted front forks that are fully adjustable. And at the back, we get a gas-charged mono-shock which is fully adjustable as well.
Front Suspension / Wheel Travel | 41mm inverted cartridge fork with stepless compression and rebound damping, adjustable spring preload/4.7 in |
Rear Suspension / Wheel Travel | Horizontal mono-shock with stepless rebound damping, remotely adjustable spring preload/5.4 in |
BRAKES
Performing braking duties are dual 300 mm semi-floating discs with a four-piston caliper up front. And a single 250 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the back. We do get abs as standard. But one thing to note here is that we used to get petal discs earlier, but now we get only conventional discs.
Front Brakes | Horizontal mono-shock with stepless rebound damping, remotely adjustable spring preload/5.4 in |
Rear Brakes | Single 250mm petal-style disc with single-piston caliper, ABS |

The bike gets better quality rubber Bridgestone battleax Hype sport S22s. Now that offers superior road grip.

We get Kawasaki\’s intelligent anti-lock braking system also known as KIBS. now this includes cornering abs which means you can break midway through the corner. and still, maintain the right direction of travel. and the rider can maintain the line he has chosen through the corner
Then we have Kawasaki cornering management function or KCMF. Which keeps a watch on engine and chassis parameters during the corner. While entering the corner hitting the apex and also at the corner exit, and modulates the brake force as well as engine power. Thereby, providing for a smooth transition from acceleration to braking. And then getting back on the throttle such that the rider remains completely in control all along.
We also now get along well-padded pillion seats for added comfort. Even the windscreen has now been redesigned to offer better wind protection. With 4-different adjustable positions, which are awesome.
